  2. Colistin is a polypeptide antibiotic , was obtained from a fermentation broth inoculated with Bacillus polimyxa var. colistinus which had been isolated from soil sampled of Fukushima Prefecture , Japan.

  3. Colimix 120 Sintofarm Anti-bacterial spectrum Gram-negative : E.Coli Shigella spp Salmonella spp Enterobacter spp Pseudomonas aeruginosa Klebsiella pneumoniae Campylobacter (vibrio) coli .

  4. Colimix 120 Sintofarm Characteristics : Colistin is effective against Gram – bacteria such as E.Coli and Salmonella. Colistin does not select resistant bacteria in vivo and its resistance is not transferred by the R-factor. Colistin is not absorbed from the digestive tract of poultry hence no residue is observe. Colistin has a synergistic effect against bacteria when used in combination with Zinc-bacitracin. Colistin is effective as a growth promoter for broiler. It is also used in the prevention and control of infectious enteritis in broiler.

  5. Colimix 120 Sintofarm Synergism and Antagonism : Colistin is compatible with tetracyclines, sulfas, imidazoles, Lincomycin and common feed additives. Sometimes is showed a good synergism with some antibiotics particularly with bacitracin .There are no experiences of antagonist effects between Colistin and other antibiotics. Palatability : No "medicinal taste" to deter sick animals from eating or drinking.

Colimix 120 Sintofarm Effective • Because of its activity against Gram - bacteria , specially E.Coli and Salmonella , even if they are resistant to other antibacterial substances • Because it not only checks but treats the disease • Because it improves animal performance • Because of its bactericide action at low dosage(5-8 mg /kg live weight) • Because it acts rapidly and can be used in periods when the sanitary risk is higher

  10. Colimix 120 Sintofarm Poultry : For prevention of intestinal diseases (diarrhea) 20-200 g/ton of complete feed . Poultry : For therapy 800-1000g/ton of complete feed for 5-15 days
