How does it work? • Create a project outside of class. • Controlled Experiment • Laboratory Demonstration • Research Project • Work on your own or with a partner (NO GROUPS). • Decide what you want to include on your 3D-display board and create a rough draft. The due date of this rough draft will be given by your teacher. • What you did/researched • What you learned • Create your final 3D-display board to show off your project. • Bring your display board to school the morning of Open House to be shown throughout the night and the next day at school.
Why get involved? • Learn more about the scientific process • Display your talents and discoveries for your parents and peers to view • Why not? • Extra Credit!
Do’s and Don’ts DO… • get tips and advice from your teacher • take pictures of your experiment/research and attach to your board • spread out your work over a few weeks DON’T… • expect your teacher to give you materials or allow class time to work. • bring in ANY piece of your experiment to display along with your board • do it at the last minute.
