  2. steel or aluminum. It may depend on the type of application used for the purpose. The Engineering Gantry Crane Engineering Gantry Crane is designed with two upright beams and a cross beam. The crane bears two legs which are of A-frame shape having wheels on the bottom that makes it portable and movable. Commonly a gantry crane is used in the manufacturing jobs in its smallest version to move the larger parts, containers as well as molds into and the out of a particular location or even between assembly or work stations. In a setting of a warehouse, the gantry crane is used for moving the heavy and bulky materials for the distance covered under the working area and most of these cranes can hold as much as four tons, or eight thousand pounds. Also, these can be as small as eight foot or as large as twenty foot across. Many cranes have fixed height of ten feet; still many are adjustable from seven to sixteen feet.
