The Primary Flight Display • Using the FMS knobs: tuning the ADF or DME • Bring up the ADF window; • Use the outer & inner knobs to select fields and change digits; • IMPORTANT: Press ENTER, not the FMS knob itself, to accept the new value. The Audio Selector Panel • Similar functions to other Garmin audio panels • “COM1 MIC” – listen & talk • “COM1” – just listen • Audio identification of DME / ADF • Volumes • Coms, Navaids (not DME) have own volume • Intercom volume for pilot, one other for all pax

Reversionary Modes ADC OAT, Pitot & Static instr. GPS / Com / Nav 1 Similar to Garmin 430 GPS / Com / Nav 2 Similar to Garmin 430 AHRS Attitude & Heading Rate sensors, Slip/Skid • Optional modules • KAP140 autopilot • ADF • DME • Stormscope • Note: even though GPS / Com / Nav 2 work, the data may not be accessible. • You may also lose the use of ADF, DME etc! • Limited navigation available – Nav 1, NRST Magnetometer
Manual Reversionary Mode ADC OAT, Pitot & Static instr. GPS / Com / Nav 1 Similar to Garmin 430 GPS / Com / Nav 2 Similar to Garmin 430 AHRS Attitude & Heading Rate sensors, Slip/Skid • Optional modules • KAP140 autopilot • ADF • DME • Stormscope • Reversion should be automatic. • If it does not occur, it can be done manually. • If this is simulated (i.e. no real failure), all navaids will remain useable.
