  41. Scan Capability In the main screen you can set Exposure, Resolution and Original. The Address Directory also features a tab for frequent used addresses (like with a mobile phone). Tiger gives you the possibility to input e-mail addresses directly via the LCD display. It is possible to define default settings like file-format and compression for every e-mail recipient. When you select a destination from the Address Directory you can do the settings for your scan job in the menu Condition Settings. PDF, TIFF and Compression Mode are default settings. These are to be set via a Web Admin.

  42. Scan Capability In the main screen you can set Exposure, Resolution and Original, the Address Directory or the Sender List. By indicating the sender e-mails can be directly replied by the recipient. The Resolution setting has a facsimile layout. This is done Because of the US Market and Japanese Domestic Market Where IMAGE SEND is for scanning and faxing. The Exposure setting also has a facsimile layout and offers only Dark Original or Light Original. The Original setting provides 2-sided originals in two orientations, size setting and image rotation. Stamp is only Available for the Japanese Fax functionality.

  44. Ricoh Aficio 1035 Canon iR 3300 Minolta Di 351 Xerox DC 432 Ricoh Aficio 1045 Minolta Di 450 Competitors

  45. 32MB, (max. 98MB) + 10GB HDD [32MB, max. 288MB + 5GB HDD with ARM350] optional NIC [like ARM350] optional PS3 [like ARM350] Scanner & Fax Options [no fax option with ARM350] Competitors optional finisher with 4 positions, punch holes, (folding – Booklets?) and physical mailbox [like with ARM350] Optional Rev. Document Feeder [DSPF standard with ARM350] Memory 32MB (max. 64MB) + 10GB HDD [64MB, max. 320MB + 5GB HDD with ARM350] Standard Duplex [optional with ARM350] max. paper capacity 3.550 sheets [450 more than ARM350] 50 sh. bypass [optional 100 sh. & Multi Purpose Drawer with ARM350]

  46. The Ricoh Aficio 1035 was presented at CeBIT 2001 and the launch is starting this summer (Aficio 1045 is the 45cpm version of this model). The Aficio 1035 is the successor of Aficio 340 and Aficio 350 (that may still be available in some markets). The major difference in specifications are that the Ricoh’s machine has a 10GB HDD as standard. Ricoh is promoting the HDD and a set of Software under the slogan “INTERNAL DOCUMENT SERVER”. Ricoh is introducing their QSU-Technology for fast warm-up (15 sec!) and their own Printer Control Language RPCS (Refined Print Command Stream). The Double-sided SPF is more advanced compared to Ricoh’s Reversing Document Feeder. Unlike the printer centric ARM350 Ricoh offers the printer function as an option, featuring the NIC. Overall Ricoh’s’s new product is showing a more conventional concept compared to Tiger. Ricoh has to be considered as one of the most powerful competitors. With the OEM brands Nashuatec, Infotec, Gestetner, Lanier and Rex Rotary Ricoh is achieving a large market share as manufacturer. In Central East Europe the Gestetner 3225 and the Ricoh Aficio 350 were on rank 2 and 5 among the best sold digital copiers in the segment. Competitors

  47. 128MB + 5.1GB HDD (as copier) [32MB, max. 288MB + 5GB with ARM350] standard NIC and PS3 [option with ARM350] Scanner & Fax Options [no fax option with ARM350] Competitors Optional Rev. Document Feeder [DSPF standard with ARM350] optional finisher with saddle stitch, punch holes, folding - Booklets! [like with ARM350] A physical Mailbox is n/a 128MB + 5.1GB HDD [64MB, max. 320MB + 5GB HDD with ARM350] Standard Duplex [optional with ARM350] max. paper capacity 4.050 sheets [950 more than ARM350] 50 sh. bypass [optional 100 sh. & Multi Purpose Drawer with ARM350]

  48. The Canon iR3300 was presented at CeBIT 2001 and the launch is starting this summer (iR2200 is the 22cpm version of this model). The Image Runner is the successor of GP335 (that may be still available in some markets). The major difference in specifications are that the Canon machine has 128MB and a 5.1GB HDD as standard memory for printing and copying. Canon do not offer a physical mailbox, instead they are promoting a virtual mailbox (up to 100) using the HDD. Considering the look, the booklet finisher seems to be from the same vendor for Canon and Sharp. The Double-sided SPF is more advanced compared to Canon’s Reversing Document Feeder. Unlike the printer centric ARM350 Canon offers the printer function as an option, featuring the NIC. Overall Canon’s new product is showing a conventional concept compared to Tiger. Canon has to be considered as a powerful competitor due to its leading position in many markets. In Central East Europe the GP335 was the best sold digital copier in the segment. Competitors

  50. The Minolta Di 351 and Di 351f (fax version) were presented at CeBIT 2001 and are refresh models of the DiALTA series launched in March 1999. Basically Minolta only added the scanner function to their existing models. The major difference in specifications are that the Minolta machine has less memory compared to The competitor models. In general we can consider the Di 351 more in the range of Leopard than of Tiger. For the printer function an optional HDD is available. Overall Minolta’s new product is showing a conventional concept compared to Tiger. Minoltas strength differs market by market (strong e.g. in the Czech Republic). In general Minolta was still mainly analogue in 2000 and they may use their refresh models for a new approach to the digital segment. The OEM brand of Minolta is Develop. Competitors
