Total Isett Sector, by Company Size and Number of Employees, as at 31st March 2009 The table below presents the estimated total size of the Isett Sector
Overview • NSDS 2008 - 2009 The Isett Seta has indeed continued to live up to its mission statement by providing learning and employment opportunities to 1,319 unemployed learners during the year under review. This is in addition to the 4,365 unemployed learners who were skilled in the first three years of the National Skills Development Strategy.
Overview (Cont…) • NSDS 2008 - 2009 The Isett Seta is in good stead to make a further contribution in the new Seta landscape. Changing the lives of employed people and unemployed youth for the better, through skills development, has always been a rewarding experience.

Auditor General’s Report 2008/9 Unqualified Audit Opinion
Emphasis Of Matters(AG’s Report) Fruitless and Wasteful Expenditure • Fruitless and wasteful expenditure has been disclosed to the amount of R341 000 as a result of various desktop computers being stolen during a burglary. As a consequence of the loss of these computers, historical payroll data was lost. An outstanding amount of PAYE was only identified in the current year and paid to SARS, resulting in additional penalties and interest being paid.
Training Lay-off Scheme • So far the Isett Seta has not received any requests for assistance regarding the lay-offs from ICT companies.
