Making a Energy Efficient HomeTips • Replace light bulbs with compact fluorescent lamps . • Install a programmable thermostat and a timer for the water heater • Put a solar film or solar shades on the outside of windows to cut the heat • Don't let the heat escape • Put in shady landscaping • Use solar panels

  3. This house is very energy efficient. The whole house if powered by solar panels out on the roof. It has back up power so if the solar panels break or if there is no sun to help power the house. All the light bulbs in the house are fluorescent bulbs to save energy. The windows are covered with solar film to keep the heat out when its summer but keep the heat in when its winter. It has plenty of trees out in the yard to keep shade for when your outside and its hot.
