  2. Define Problem New Thinking HOME Slide 2 Slide 3 Slide 4 We are going to research laptops, desktops, and tablet PC’s to determine the most and least expensive comparable computers based on our research. Sean will cover Tablet PC’s, Shawn will cover desktop computers, and Rachel will cover laptops.

  3. Answer Tablet PC’s New Thinking HOME Slide 2 Slide 3 Slide 4 After all was said and done in the end I compared tablet PC’s by Lenovo, Toshiba and Panasonic since they were to most comparable computers out there. But first lets look at Lenovo. Now I most expensive and least expensive tablet computer out range the othehad to drop Lenovo for their Tablet computers were not comparable to the rest to the rest of them. Lenovo’s r tablets. Lenovo had 3GB of ram on both of their computers and their CPU were both higher. But with the Toshiba and Panasonic they were comparable and if you look at the table below you can see they are very much alike. I compared Lenovo, Toshiba, and Panasonic. Let’s first look at the Lenovo tablet. Lenovo was the tablet that I was unable to compare because the specifications were too different. Lenovo’s most expensive and least expensive tablet computers had far to different CPU speeds and different Ram. So I took a look at Toshiba and Panasonic because they were similar. They had the same CPU speed and Ram size. But when it came down to it one can see by the table below that the Protégé by Toshiba was the better catch. Even though the Toughbook 30 was close it lacked in Cache and also it was 30 GB smaller in the Hard disk capacity. So if one was to buy a tablet computer one could see that out of Panasonic’s and Toshiba’s tablets that one should go with Toshiba. Table A

  6. Define Problem New Thinking HOME Slide 2 Slide 3 Slide 4 Through studying the current price of desktop computers we will try to show which one of three different manufacturers of computers (Dell, Hewlett-Packard, and AVA Direct) provide the cheapest and most expensive products.

  7. Answer- Desktop New Thinking HOME Slide 2 Slide 3 Slide 4 In a study of desktop computers that are currently available from Dell, Hewlett-Packard(HP), and AVA Direct it was found that a desktop computer available from Dell was significantly cheaper than those provided by its competitors at a price of $479. HP was next with a price of $569 and AVA Direct comes in as most expensive with a price of $721. In an effort to be able to effectively compare the prices offered by the different companies, a model of similar specifications was chosen from each manufacturer. (See Table A) Table B

  10. Define Problem New Thinking HOME Slide 2 Slide 3 Slide 4 By investigating the current prices of three different manufactures of laptop computers, Apple, HP, and Dell, we will discover which offers the least expensive and most expensive laptop. Each laptop will have similar specifications.

  11. Answer- Laptop New Thinking HOME Slide 2 Slide 3 Slide 4 After looking at the Mac Book Pro, the HP CQ60Z, and the Dell Inspiration 1525 it becomes evident that with similar specs that Mac Book Pro is the most expensive at $1,999 and the HP CQ60Z is the least expensive at $ 614.99. The Dell Inspiration 1525 comes in at $ 639.00. The Apple computer is significantly higher priced than the other two manufactures. All laptop prices listed here include modifications in order to make them similar, such as each one has a webcam. Table B compares the specifications of the Mac Book Pros and the HP CQ60Z. As you can see, though the Mac Book Pro has similar specifications the Bus speed is much higher than the HP CQ60Z. Table C
