  2. Welcome to Monaco • Welcome to Monaco, one of the smallest countries in the world, but full of things to do and see. Once you arrive, you will see countless ancient buildings, and you will just have to take a picture of everything while riding in the trolley. In the evening, you can visit the numerous night clubs and casinos. After a vacation like this, you won’t want to go home.

  3. A day in Monaco • You wake up in the morning. Already you can smell the fresh croissants and pain au chocolat( buttery buns filled with chocolate) your mother is setting out. Your mother had been up early to visit the bakery( la boulangerie). Also waiting for you is a glass of orange juice and a bowl of French cherries, a favorite here in Monaco. You can’t wait until tomorrow, because that is National Day( Nov.19). You had better hurry up, or you will be late for school at Lycee Albert I. You leave your house yelling good-bye in Monegasque( a se revede), still munching a piece of banette.
