  2. Workflow Process • NIH releases NGA to a central JHU mailbox (JHUAwards) • NGA is forwarded to each divisional mailbox • Specialist pulls NGA & checks for: • Restrictions • Subawards • If revision, what is the revision? • What type of award? • Pull NGA from commons (as a check)

  3. Workflow Process • Check PD for animal and human subjects approved protocols • Merge PD and application into one file • Completes a final check and uploads into Oculus for workflow • If Subawards, NGA is also forwarded to Outgoing Subs Group *30 minute process for each NGA *Turn-around time is normally 2 weeks

  4. Delays in Process • Incorrect protocol information • Incorrect cost centers • Not having a PD (Non-Competing Continuations) • PD not in the submitted status • External IRB Issues
