The relative speed is based on body length. The beetles run so fast, their eyes can’t process information as quickly as they need to and they temporarily blind themselves. When attacking prey, the beetle will aim itself at its target and start running, but will need to stop and relocate the prey because it cannot keep an eye on it. Once it has reoriented itself, it charges forward again and hopes to run into the target.

The Brain Please label the LOBES on the brain on your paper. Thanks
Cerebrum • Largest part of the human brain • Responsible for functions such as learning, intelligence, and judgment • Divided into a left and a right hemisphere • The two hemispheres are connected at the corpus collasum
Cerebral Cortex • The surface of the cerebrum, the cerebral cortex, is deeply creased. • What is this responsible for? • The cerebral cortex processes information from the senses and controls body movements
Cerebellum • Second-largest part of the brain • When the cerebral cortex commands a muscle group to move, that message is routed through the cerebellum • This coordinates and balances the actions of muscles so the body moves gracefully and efficiently
Brainstem • Connects the brain to the spinal cord • Includes regions called the medulla oblongata and the pons • Controls blood pressure, heart rate, breathing and swallowing.
