  1. The Secret to David’s Success 2 Samuel 5: 4-5, 17-25  David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years. 5 In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah. (2 Sam 5:4-5 NKJV)

  2. An Ordinary Man Now the Lord said to Samuel, "How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons." 1 Sam 16:1 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah. (1 Sam 16:13 NKJV)

  3. Wisdom is Needed So David went out wherever Saul sent him, and behaved wisely. (1 Sam 18:5 NKJV) And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and the Lordwas with him. 15 Therefore, when Saul saw that he behaved very wisely, he was afraid of him (1 Sam 18:14-15 NKJV) And so it was, whenever they went out, that David behaved more wisely than all the servants of Saul, so that his name became highly esteemed. (1 Sam 18:30 NKJV)

  4. God Assigns & Assigns Again Now it came to pass after the death of Saul, (2 Sam 1:1 NKJV)  It happened after this that David inquired of the Lord, saying, "Shall I go up to any of the cities of Judah?" And the Lord said to him, "Go up." David said, "Where shall I go up?" And He said, "To Hebron." 2 So David went up there, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the widow of Nabal the Carmelite. 3 And David brought up the men who were with him, every man with his household. So they dwelt in the cities of Hebron. (2 Sam 2:1-3 NKJV)

  5. Situational Guidance2Samuel 5:17-21 At the Beginning of a new Assignment The Philistines gather Not to Celebrate you To Challenge you- Are ready for the assignment? see( Matt 4: 1-11)

  6. Situational Guidance2Samuel 5:22-25 Every situation needs a different approach. God has a Word for every situation you are faced with.

  7. Jesus depended on God Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel (John 5:19-20 NKJV)

  8. Jesus Promises us the Holy Spirit  "If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever– 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. (John 14:15-18 NKJV)

  9. Jesus Promises us the Holy Spirit  I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. (John 16:12-15 NKJV)

  10. James Encourages to Seek God’s Guidance. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (James 1:5-8 NKJV)
