METHODOLOGY • Review of changes since 2007 • 100% Interview survey of members bodies • Barriers to implementation • Review of web sites • Report back to Executive and Forum
NEXT STEPS • Review Manifesto and Action Plan • Integration with ‘Fit for Purpose Spatial planning’

CONCLUSIONS • Considerable progress • Challenges remain • Changing context – economic, environmental and governance • Skills important but leadership fundamental • Future monitoring
12 IDOX SUGGESTIONS • Prepare ‘model’ material for members to tailor and use on web-sites (MH) • Help find common ground between Government and Local Government re the role of planning (EB) • Ensure training focuses on ways of overcoming barriers - including lack of willingness to change (Professions)
