  1. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Slim and Clean Body Care and Waxing Salon wants to assure all our valued clients that we are following strict guidelines in order to protect your safety and our employees. These guidelines will be in effect during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic and may be adjusted as necessary, and they will be reduced when safe to do so. SOFT RE-OPENING UPDATE YoursafetyisourPriority Slim and Clean Body Care and Waxing use the OSHA "Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19" as a guide for our soft reopening. TEMPERATURE CHECKS ASK We use a touchless infrared thermometer to check the temperature of the employee each day and of each client who enters the salon. Any employee or client who has above 99 degrees F will be sent home immediately and not allowed to return We would be asking clients entering the shop the following questions: Have you had a cough? Have you had a fever? Have you been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms within the past 14 days? Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined? LIMITING PEOPLE  IN THE SALON MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING AT ALL TIMES! We highly recommend booking an appointment online so we can limit the number of persons waiting in the reception area. We are implementing a 1 client per hour so we can have enough time to sanitize in between appointments. Spacing between persons in the salon will be at least six feet, except when staff are servicing clients. We consider additional spacing between booths, divider shields, and/or alternate work schedules to accomplish this. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE GEAR DISINFECTION Our salon has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to reopening. We disinfected all surfaces, tools, and linens, even if they were cleaned before the salon was closed. We use disinfectants that are EPA-registered and labeled as bactericidal, virucidal, and fungicidal. The EPA has approved any product that has tested as effective against human coronavirus. If in doubt of the effectiveness, check the EPA website. All linens, towels drapes, and smocks are laundered in hot soapy water and dry completely at the warmest temperature allowed and stored in an airtight cabinet. We store all used/dirty linens in an airtight container. The use of a mask is mandatory in our salon. Wearing masks – Our employees will be required to wear masks at all times.. Clients should wear face masks to the extent possible while receiving services. Gloves – Our employees wear disposable gloves when servicing clients and change gloves between each client to the greatest extent possible. Hand Washing – with soapy, warm water, for a minimum of 20 seconds is required by employees between every client service. RECEPTION AREA We removed all unnecessary items such as magazines, newspapers, service menus, any other unnecessary paper products, and decor.  We constantly wipe reception desks with disinfectant. We also consider discontinuing the use of paper appointment books or cards and replacing them with electronic options. Employees and clients are expected to follow these strict guidelines and protocols to ensure everyone’s health and safety. Please know that there will be no exceptions as we are mandated by the government to execute their lead. With that being said, we will be reaching out to reschedule some appointments and we will give you specific guidelines for you to follow. This will be a new way of providing the very best experience possible.  We appreciate your patience and we have missed you all! Hopefully, as we navigate our way through this, we will be shortening the time that we can get back to our normal way of life. We are looking forward to seeing each and every one of you! If you have any questions, please call us at (678) 717-9991 or email us at slimandclean.salon@gmail.com. We will reach out to you as soon as possible.
