  5. Since I had done my research on the effects of sports in relation to students performance in school I decided to hold field day events for an elementary schools gym classes.

  6. Product • Find a mentor • Find a host • Create activity plans • Get plans cleared • Equipment check • Find a good day

  7. Product • Set up stations • Safety talk for stations • Indicate when to switch • Demonstrate expected actions • Clean up stations • Teach game for after stations • Teach next two classes the same • Clean up stations

  8. My Mentor I had asked my cross country coach, Coach Coughlin, to be my mentor. Coach Coughlin teaches physical education at Riverwood Elementary School. Throughout my project Coach has helped me find activities that would be age appropriate for the students as well as find a day best for the school and the participants.
