What are we trying to achieve ? • Increased engagement in H2020 by SMEs and Scottish Universities working together. • A stronger role for Scottish SMEs in university and business consortia in H2020 projects across Europe. • Sustainable Economic Growth.
What is the H2020 SME Engagement Scheme ? • £1K-£5K vouchers to allow support for SME engagement in early stages of: • Engagement with EU officials and structures • Consortia building • Proposal writing
How does it work ? • Through Interface, similar to Innovation Vouchers • Rapid turnaround • Simple application and reporting • Established network of support and advice
How does it work ? • Yes to; • SME – university engagement • Travel for SME team – consortia building • SME engagement with EU officials, partners • Reasonable support for proposal writing • No to: • Consultancy fees • Academic-only applications
