TrueColors® Overview • Based on the work/research of Myers-Briggs & Keirsey • Test developed in 1978 by Don Lowry • Lowry was a student of Keirsey’s • 85% compatible with MBTI • It is a personality type test • Four primary colors used to identify personality types and behavioral styles
TrueColors® • The four different “colors” or personalities are: • Blue • Gold • Green • Orange • Everyone has some degree of each color, but one color usually is dominant • Knowing someone’s color can help you communicate with them more harmoniously and effectively
TrueColors® Spectrum • Most of us are a combination of all the color characteristics • Primary Color = your Natural Self,(i.e. the most like you) • Secondary Color = will have some significant influences on your primary color • Third Color = may have some characteristics as part of your personality • Fourth Color = attributes are the least like you
TrueColors® Balanced Type • You may be equally divided between two colors • You may be divided equally among all the colors: this means you are comfortable with all spectrums OR
TrueColors® First line – Use the pictures on the cards Second line – Use the definitions on back of cards 3rd thru 7th line – Use the group of words for each one Total each column Highest number is your “Color”

BLUE Look for meaning in life Like harmonious relationships Caretakers Expressive Need to be appreciated Want to be important in people’s lives Think about the future, perfect world, good friends, and love
