Do not give this number to anyone else. Do not put it on your business card. • Main Agency Phone Number 315-298-3355. Making Reservations Four Options: Option #1 ITA Requests Tickets & Tours in-house agent to do the research, find rates and book travel. Option # 2 ITA does the research, finds the rates and books travel Option # 3 ITA uses www.pulaskiticketsandtours.com to book personal travel Option # 4 ITA uses the Instant Travel Site (their personal website) to book public travel for their client.
Five Steps for Making a Reservation • Call at least 2 vendors. • Get a courtesy hold when appropriate. • TBA – cruises. • Document the telephone call. • Write down all details of the quote. • Name of reservationist, deposit by, final by, etc. • Make sure you include insurance. • Vendor or other. • Give the client no more than 2 quotes. • Get the client to commit. Get a credit card number.

Call the vendor to make the reservation. • Give them our IATAN or CLIA #. • Verify all agency information • Provide your first and last name and your home contact number. • Have the vendor send fax and/or email confirmation to both our office and/or your home. • Double check all name spellings, gender, travel dates, and details. • Verify all information on the fax confirmation is correct. Any errors should be reported to the vendor immediately.

Travel Industry Pricing (cont.) • Travel Agent Rates • Based on availability • Call the vendor directly or follow vendor procedure • Supply agency information • Suppliers set policies • Ask what ID is needed to qualify • Have alternate dates when possible • Documents will be sent to the office • Travel Agent Promotions • Reward for selling travel • Paid to you – Tickets & Tours does not retain any percentage • Travel Agent Etiquette • You are a representative of Tickets & Tours • When attending seminars & FAM trips please dress appropriately • Be professional & courteous • Never divulge agent prices to regular travelers
Forms of Payment • Check, Cashier's Checks, and Money Orders • All checks must be payable to “Pulaski Tickets & Tours” • Please remember to allow 14 days for processing. • Credit Cards-preferred • You call in the number to the travel vendor • Use the “Credit Card Authorization Form” • Need card number, expiration date, name on card, CCV2 security number, billing address and phone number • As soon as money is paid submit the booking form. This can be completed on-line, faxed, or mailed to the Pulaski office. Verify final payment amount includes the commission.

Document Delivery • Documents can be airline tickets, cruise documents, and travel vouchers. • Documents are delivered to the office usually 2-4 weeks before departure. In most cases documents are delivered electronically. • You will be notified when they arrive. • You are responsible to notify Tickets & Tours how they are to be delivered. • It is your responsibility to check documents for accuracy. If a document is incorrect it will need to be returned to the vendor and to be reissued. • We suggest mailing by a traceable method for all non-refundable documents. • Important to keep up to date on Passport and Visa Requirements.
Invoices • Are issued by Tickets & Tours once payment has been made and the “Booking Form” has been received from the booking agent. • A summary of the travel purchased and a receipt to the client. • A copy of the agency generated invoice will be forwarded to the booking agent, along with a copy of the supplier invoice (when provided)
Commissions • Commissions are issued to the travel agency booking travel through a travel vendor. • Average Commission levels are 10-15% of the travel product value . • Commissions may be earned on tours, cruises, hotels, rental cars and sightseeing.) • Taxes and port charges are not commissionable. • You will earn 30-100% of the commission Tickets & Tours receives • 30% if an in-house agent books the travel for your clients • 50% if the independent travel agent books the travel for their clients • 100% for personal travel when booked by the independent agent or in-house agent. • Commissions will be paid after travel has occurred. However, some suppliers pay after the final payment has been made. • Most commissions are received within 4-6 weeks after travel. • Commission checks are typically mailed within 30 days of the end of the month in which they are received.
