  2. About Smart Dog paw training is a method of teaching dogs to use their paws intentionally to interact with objects or perform specific tasks. This type of training can encompass various behaviors, from shaking paws with humans to targeting objects with their paws, such as pushing buttons or opening doors. The training typically begins with teaching the dog to offer their paw on command, often using positive reinforcement techniques like treats or praise to reinforce the desired behavior. Once the dog consistently offers their paw when asked, trainers can progress to more advanced behaviors.
