  1. How you should take care of your oral health during the Covid-19 Pandemic? The whole world is going through a lot of changes. The novel COVID-19 or coronavirus has disrupted the life of almost everyone around the world, especially here in Pembroke Pine, Florida. While there are a lot of things that you can’t do, you can still take care of your oral health. With dental offices across the country either currently shut down or postponing non-emergency dental treatment, now it is more important than ever to keep your dental homecare in check. There are some things that you can do to take better care of your oral health and avoid needless visits to the dentist. How should you keep your teeth healthy during COVID-19? With most people working from home and still adjusting to new routines, it is easy to put aside your dental health. Here are some tips that’ll help you take care of your oral health – ●Wash your hands thoroughly Aim to wash at least 20 seconds before and after any personal dental care. ●Floss once per day This will help remove any bacteria and plaque in places your brush cannot reach. ●Brush at least two times per day Be sure that you also get the hard-to-reach spots. ●Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet Eat a diet that contains a healthy mix of protein, carbs, fats, fibers, and other vital minerals and vitamins. Also, limit sticky, sugary snacks like cookies and cakes. ●Limit sugary drinks Fruit juices, soda, and other sugary drinks often harm tooth surfaces. ●Limit frequency of snacking Frequent snacking will increase your risk of cavities. ●Drink plenty of water Always drink water with meals and in between meals. ●Avoid smoking Smoking will limit blood flow to your mouth and make it easier for bacteria to grow. What should you do in case an emergency arises?

  2. For your safety and safety of every dentist in Pembroke Pines, Florida, it is recommended that you don’t visit an emergency room or urgent care clinic for your dental care needs. Your cosmetic dentist Pembroke Pine are capable enough to handle different situations over the phone such as filling a crown that has become loose or helping with a toothache. If you’re unsure about the situation, your familiar dentist will be able to help. The American Dental Association has also created numerous resources for dentists and patients to follow. ●Unless you’re in extreme pain or you have swollen teeth, prefer telecommunicating with your dentist first. They may be able to give you the needed prescription or refer you to an appropriate provider. ●If you’ve sharp or throbbing pain in your gums, teeth, or mouth, contact your dentist immediately. ●Any pain or trouble in swallowing might be better served by a doctor but if you believe that it is coming from your teeth or mouth, contact your dentist immediately. ●Contact your doctor over the phone if you have a chipped tooth. Then it’ll be up to the dentist to determine whether that is a minor chip that could be addressed later or if it is a major chip that requires immediate care. Most dentists have been keeping their phones open throughout the day to give expert advice whenever someone comes with a dental issue.
