Original Design Envisioned: • Less equipment • More expensive machines and minimal inexpensive free weights • Open plan – no built in benches or shelves __________________________ With minimal updates, the EC layout supports: • Duplication of the most popular equipment • Additional equipment that residents have requested
Data collection • Staff recorded usage in various areas for 30 days • Staff provided multi-purpose room rental history for several months • Suggestions solicited in writing at the EC water cooler for several months • Online survey conducted among North building residents and owners
