Consisted of kings and brahmans.

(When?) • This drama came about during 1st century CE moving on to the 10th century CE. • It is also known to have emerged during the first century AD’s & BC’s time period. • Sanskrit declined during the 10th and 15th centuries due to political issues in India, during the time.
Where did it originate at? • Sanskrit drama began in India, that’s where it all started. • This marked the beginning of theatre in India. • They were very popular & staged all over theatres in ancient India.
Why was it important & why did Sanskrit drama develop? • It is very important because it included the early development into the Proto-Indo- European language. • Also has early writings of proper grammar and literary works in the texts.
