Localization best practices • Place all localization strings in the resource file • iOS: *.lproj -> Localizable.strings • Android: values_* -> strings.xml • Allow for up to 40% growth in your UI layout • Do hardcode strings that should not be translated • Avoid placing text in image files • Avoid concatenating strings. • Use parameters in localizable strings so translator can reorder if needed
