This Beta-casein comes in 13 different forms out of which A1 & A2 are the most commonly found. The majority of cows that are being raised across the globe give A1 type of milk. A1 is the result of a genetic mutation that occurs in the milk resulting in the production of the compound BCM7, which is assumed to be causing factor of unwanted health conditions and illnesses among the A1 milk consumers. A2 milk brings back the actual way the milk is supposed to be consumed, Naturally! Many mammals including humans produce A2 milk making this milk more reliable & healthier than the A1 milk. Moreover, A2 milk is easily digestible and offers more beta-carotene with lower level of cholesterol. The Key Difference between A1 Milk & A2 Milk: The key difference between A1 milk and A2 milk is in the amino acid chain number 67. At this, the A2 milk features ‘Proline’ whilst A1 is linked with ‘Histidine’. Due to the mutation in the amino acid of the A1 milk, it results in many adverse effects on humans. The A1 Milk, when consumed regularly, releases beta-casomorphin7 also known as BCM7, an opioid with a structure similar to that of morphine. Number of studies point to BCM7 as a troublemaker and injurious to health. Therefore, A2 milk is the better & healthier milk option.
