SOCIAL JUSTICE COLLECTION 2024
HAMILTON PERKINS UPCYCLED BAGS SOCIAL JUSTICE In 2014, Hamilton Perkins founded Hamilton Perkins Collection, an independent brand, designing and producing unique and award winning bags and accessories from recycled materials. Hamilton Perkins Collection exists to create timeless limited edition bags made from recycled plastic water bottles, pineapple leaf fiber, and billboard vinyl. The result is that no two bags are ever the same. Our first design, the Earth Bag Premium, was created so that our customers would not only carry a bag that was stylish but carry a bag they could be proud of. We surveyed more than 1,000 consumers to obtain their thoughts and feedback for each component of the Earth Bag Premium, which soon became one of our most popular designs. Perkins was the winner of the Virginia Velocity Tour hosted by the Governor of Virginia, and the recipient of a HUD Community Development Block Grant. The non-profit B Lab honored Hamilton Perkins Collection as a “Best for the World Overall” B Corporation in 2017.

SOCIAL JUSTICE SUPLMNT BOTTLES SUPLMNT is a premium reusable water bottle company founded on the belief that hydration and culture should go hand in hand. As a black-owned business, we are determined to make a difference. Founder Jairus Morris started the company after discovering the product category and realizing no one in his circle owned any insulated water bottles, despite the existence of many major brands in the space.“Growing up in the inner city no one taught me, or my peers, the importance of drinking water and staying hydrated. In the majority of our households, high-sugar drinks such as Kool-Aid and soda were our only source of hydration. It wasn’t until later in life that I realized the health issues plaguing my family and friends had major roots in poor diet and hydration.” SUPLMNT is more than just a water bottle.
ELEMENTAL TUMBLERS SOCIAL JUSTICE Growing up, Seth and Vinh saw the fundamental need for water from two different perspectives. Seth, born in the Midwest, saw water as a plentiful resource needed for agriculture. Vinh grew up in Vietnam where clean drinking water was scarce. After meeting in 2009, the two engineers discovered a shared passion for enriching people’s lives while improving the planet. The two friends became the perfect balance using Seth’s creativity and Vinh’s technical skill. Reusable drinkware is only the beginning of their vision. By partnering with you and trusted organizations, Elemental’s goal is to create a healthier, more sustainable future for you and the world we live in. We have committed 3% of our profits. As part of our ongoing Give Back Programs, elemental has partnered with Charity Water and others to bring clean water and a better life to those who need it.

I worked closely with women like myself who started out by making beauty products in their homes. Working endlessly and tirelessly on their craft and growing into some of the major brands we see today. It truly inspired me to start my own brand. I researched ingredients and formulated my first product, a balm, to help with my children’s eczema, quickly realizing this is my passion. The name Botanica Naturale originated from my latina background. I’m a Brooklyn NY native, a wife and a mom to four amazing children.

LIT SOUL CANDLES SOCIAL JUSTICE Hi! I am Monica, the Founder of Lit Soul Candles! About four years ago, I turned to meditation to heal from the tough situations I was experiencing. I decided to meditate everyday (morning & night) for 30 days. At first it was weird, but after a couple of weeks, lighting my candle and meditating became the most important part of my day. Our slow burning candles are handcrafted in small batches, and serve as a daily reminder to let your light shine. We use natural coconut wax, a cotton-core wick, and phthalate-free fragrance/essential oil blends. Each candle is chakra specific, and contains a hand selected, High Vibration Crystal (available when the candle burns out). Once you’ve enjoyed your candle to the end of its life, simply wash your crystal and place it on your corresponding chakra during meditation. Lit Soul Candles are made in “upcycled” soup cans. The contents from these cans are used to make homemade meals for individuals experiencing homelessness in California. Los Angeles County has a growing population of 44,000+ homeless individuals. That’s a lot of hungry tummies to feed. With each candle you purchase, you help us to do what we love most: light souls.
