Definition A blog by definition is a website which is regularly updated and personalized. It contains entries dated in a reverse chronological order.
Blogs can be very beneficial to society, but they can also have negative repercussions. Since the emergence of blogs, anyone and everyone has been given a voice. This voice may be very insightful, helpful, harmful or simply wrong. It is up to the individual to decide if they want to accept what they find on the internet as truth.

Types of Blogs continued… Blogs can also be arranged according to genre. • Politics • Housing • Fashion • Music • Legality (Blawgs) • Blogs used for spamming (splog)

Example of a blog posting Bee Movie This morning I saw Bee Movie, featuring the voices of Jerry Seinfeld and Renee Zellweger. What a breath of fresh air! I'm not a huge animation fan, so seeing this today was somewhat out of the ordinary for me. I'm glad I followed my instinct and ignored my self-imposed snobbiness though, because I really would have missed out on something great if I'd passed it up. -Tassoula Movie Review Blog
Another Example of a blog post The Bee Movie Yes, the movie is totally inaccurate. The bees collecting honey in the movie are “pollen jocks” that use powerful suction guns to collect nectar from the flowers. It’s the same prototype of Macho men using guns to do hard, dangerous work and being glorified for it. The pollenjocks in the movie are the “babes” that the girl bees fawn all over. Yeah, it’s sickening.
Continued… Unfortunately, we live in a society that does not recognize hard working intelligent women. Pop culture tells us that women are not tough. Women are nagging, soft, dumb, pretty little things that exist to satisfy men. Thus, all of the bees in the bee movie have little curly antennae, big eyelashes and curvaceous thoraxes. They don’t do any work, or contribute to the honey production in the movie. Yes, it’s grossly inaccurate. [t]he movie is a cookie-cutter, shiny, plastic, brightly-colored pieceof crap wrapped up in a big masculine bow- just like every other big hollywood film. I guess I shouldn’t be so surprised! - Ants on a Green Roof review
