Pickleball For Dummies DESCRIPTION 5 minutes ago - COPY LINK TO DOWNLOAD : https://lilinmanissatu.blogspot.com/?read=1119895138 | [PDF] DOWNLOAD Pickleball For Dummies | Common Pickleball Questions 1) What do you want readers to know about this book? This book is for beginners, intermediate players wanting to improve, and advanced players looking for new strategies to add to their toolbox. Pickleball For Dummies is one of the most comprehensive resources you can find about everything pickleball. It will not only get you started, but serve as a guide to your ongoing development and improvement. This book is also full of positivity, humor, and encouragement, because we believe pickleball should be – above all else – FUN! 2) Who can play pickleball? Anyone! The rules of the game have made it perfect for players of all ages and athletic abilities to play together. The learning curve is short and you'll be able to enjoy playing real games your first time out. Equipment is affordable, and you can find pickleball courts popping up everywhere from public parks and school gyrms, to swanky country clubs and resorts. 3) I've never played pickleball. before. Where should I start? Part 1 of Pickleball For Dummies will give you an overview of everything you need to know to start playing. You'll want to learn the basic rules and etiquette, how to stay safe on the court, what equipment to buy or rent, and where to find courts and people to play with. You'll arrive cool and confident, ready to have fun. We'll also give you tips on transitioning from other sports, so you can bring these skills with you and start dazzling your new pickleball friends right away! 4) What is dinking and why is it important to the game? A 'dink' is a soft shot hit by a player standing forward in the court, typically at the non-volley line (also known as the kitchen line). The opponent receiving the dink is forced to swing up on the ball in order to lift it back over the net – meaning they can't attack it with a downward smash. In pickleball, players will trade dinks back and forth in an effort to prevent the other team from attacking. When someone makes a mistake by hitting a dink a little too high in the air, the opponent will seize the opportunity to swing down on the ball – usually hard! Dinking involves a lot of strategy and resembles a chess match at advanced levels. 5) Pickleball is growing so rapidly. What's the future for the sport? There's no doubt that pickleball is here to stay. Participation has more than doubled over the past five years, with no signs of slowing down. Once considered a sport for retirees, pickleball's age demographics continue to skew younger. Many schools are adding it to their PE curriculums. The professional tours (there are currently three) also continue to grow bigger and better each year with more prize money and innovative new players. Pickleball is also rapidly expanding beyond North America to countries all over the world. We hope to see it as an Olympic sport one day! About The Authors Mo Nard and Reine Steel are certified pickleball teaching pros and founders of Positive Dinking pickleball instruction. Reine also created the PlayTime Scheduler website, used by 100,000+ pickleball players. Diana Landau and Carl Landau founded Pickleball Media. Carl hosts the popular podcast I Used to be Somebody.
