About Solar Panels • Solar panels (also known as "PV panels") are used to convert light from the sun into electricity • Solar panels can be used for a wide variety of applications including remote power systems for cabins, telecommunications equipment, remote sensing • Also of course for the production of electricity by residential and commercial solar electric systems.

  3. How Do Solar Panels Work? • Solar PV panels capture sunlight, causing electrons in the panel’s silicon cells to release energy that becomes direct current (DC) electricity • An inverter converts the DC into alternating current (AC) electricity, making it useable for homes and businesses

  4. How Do Solar Panels Work? • Excess electricity can be stored in a battery or fed back into the power grid • Additional electricity can be pulled from the grid if you need more power than your solar panels can generate

  5. Types Of PV Solar Panels There are two main types of PV solar panels used in solar systems Multicrystalline Monocrystalline
