The fixing instruction NOTES Before beginning the installation of tiles, check out required instructions below: Ÿ Prior to fixing tiles, position them in the desired form which can give an acceptable combination of colour, shade and design. Assure, that tiles are laid as per your contentment. There might be a slight variation in shade and size as it is inbuilt in the manufacturing of ceramic products. Ÿ Highly commend the use of tile fixing adhesives for fixing the tiles. For first-rate outcome, follow the tile fixing guidelines dispensed with adhesives. Ÿ Follow the below guidelines for installing Durastone tiles using sand and cement: Ÿ Cement and sand mortar should be used in the ratio of 1:4. To make a consistent paste, add water as required. Do not add further water, once the mixture is completed. Also, use the mixture within the time frame of one hour. Apply a 20mm to 30mm layer of bedding material over an area of 1 square meter at a time on the surface of the area. Also, apply a very thin slurry to the back of the tile to assure impeccable and full bedding. Press softly for levelled adherence on the back of the tile. Do not use an iron hammer or any kind of heavy material to press the tile. Do follow the manufacturer's guidelines on the same. For fixing on Dado, we never suggest the use of sand and cement. Ÿ The area to be tiled should be marked from the centre and then tiles must be laid so that the cut tiles should be on the outer edge of the walls. Ÿ The work size of the tile is mentioned on the carton. It is absolute to provide the gap of 5mm to 8mm between the tiles to enable possible expansion (ISO tolerance norms) with the support of spacers. Ÿ Finish the procedure by pressing the cut Durastone tiles firmly into place, along the wall or floor. Ÿ After fifteen minutes of grouting process, with a damp sponge, wipe off all the extra grout and polish the tiles with a dry and soft cloth. A mild acid can also be used for cleaning the tiles. We advise not to use Hydrofluoric acid or any of its derivatives. Ÿ Please look for the arrow ( ) on the back of the tile and then follow the laying pattern as conveyed below. Ÿ The company does not welcome any liability in case of issues occurring out of non-adherence to the tiles fixing guidelines. Ÿ Please note that we are unable to accept any complaints once material has been fixed. Ÿ 30 31
