  2. Athaliah Deposed • The Bible does not treat her as a queen. • No length of reign given • No characterization of reign given • No history of what occurred during her reign is given. • The fact of her reign is acknowledged, but never recognized.

  3. Jehoiada’s Restoration • Restored Davidic king to throne. (2 Chron. 23:3) • Restored the worship of God • Made a covenant between the people and God that they would be His people. (2 Kings 11:17 & 2 Chron. 23:16) • Restored the Temple offices, or officers, as appointed by David (2 Chron. 23:18) • Reinstituted the cleanliness laws (2 Chron. 23:19) • Led the people to destroy the temple of Baal and kill the priest of Baal. (2 Kings 11:18 & 2 Chron. 23:17)
