  2. Essential Question What do you think lies underneath the land we live on?

Objectives • The learner will be able to label the 3 main layers of the earth on a diagram given. • The learner will be able to describe each layer by their main composition. • The learner will be able to properly locate where each layer is in the earth. • The learner will be able to distinguish each layer by its specific depth. • The learner will be able to recognize the physical structure of each layer of the earth.

  4. Summary of Unit… For our unit plan on layers of the earth students will be engaging on many hands on activities that will help them better understand the structure of the earth. The unit plan over layers of the earth will take about 2 weeks. A fun trip to the science museum will be on the last Friday of instruction. This important concept is essential for students when preparing for the Science TAKS test that students will be taking this spring.

  6. What I learned  • I learned that with all of these fun technology tools I can truly make every lesson very engaging! Everything from Wordle to KIDPIX will allow my students to learn in a more beneficial way. Students love learning in new ways and I think introducing any of these small activities like “Monster” will make the students enjoy learning!
