What is the difference between cloud and web? • Cloud computing includes a type of service that allows you to access data and resources remotely and therefore without the need to manage physical servers in your own structure. • In order to be used, it therefore requires a functioning network, i.e. an internet connection that allows you to connect to the server on which the resources are present. The fact that the cloud needs a network can therefore create a certain confusion, leading to it being identified with the web itself.

In reality the latter is nothing more than a collection of data or information stored in various servers around the world, which can be searched and retrieved but not manipulated. • The fundamental difference therefore lies precisely in the possibility of modifying or manipulating data and resources. In order to add information to the web, it is necessary to carry out another type of operation, namely purchasing a space (host) and creating a site, which in turn is made up of web pages.

Cloud and web: why are they interconnected? • The differences between cloud and web are therefore very numerous and essentially depend on the purpose with which the two services were created. The cloud, in particular, aims to allow access and manipulation of resources even remotely. The web, on the other hand, represents the platform through which it is possible to surf the internet and is therefore limited exclusively to searching and retrieving data.
