  1. Romans 12:1 ESV 1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

  2. 1 Corinthians 10:23-24 ESV 23 “All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up. 24 Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.

  3. 1 Corinthians 10:31-32 ESV 31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 32Give no offense to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God, 33 just as I try to please everyone in everything I do, not seeking my own advantage, but that of many, that they may be saved.

  4. Colossians 3:16-17 ESV 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly…17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him . . .

  5. Colossians 3:23-24 ESV 23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

  7. Because “living” sacrifices move off the altar

  8. Because what God wants is to be glorified (but what that entails varies)

  9. Examine your worship: What parts of my life have I not approached as worship of Christ? • Where would my life change most • if all of it was worship?

  10. Examine your worship: What’s the first thing that needs to change to bring God glory in my life today? • What steps do I need to take to • make that happen? **
