Myths about Studying • Studying more and longer results in higher grades • There’s one study system that is best • Knowing the material is enough • Cramming the night before keeps the material fresh • Writing doesn’t effect learning much • Students study best on their beds where they’re comfortable • Music helps students study better • Parents can’t help students study when they don’t know the material

  3. Study Tips for Parents • Create and enforce a study schedule • Go off the grid • Study uncomfortably • Take short breaks (30 min./5; 50 min./10) • Supervise study time • Ask questions • Post the exam schedule • Enforce bedtime—8 hours!
