Now click the mouse Now click the mouse Scene 1 Jesus Enters Jerusalem Jesus travelled to Jerusalem for the last time to attend the Jewish festival of Passover. When he arrived, the road was crowded with people waving palm branches. They laid their cloaks on the ground so that Jesus could ride over them on his donkey like a king in praise for all the wonderful things he had done. Describe the scene amongst yourselves and record it onto the tape machine provided

Now click the mouse Scene 2 Jesus And His Enemies But Jesus had enemies as well as friends. This is because he claimed to be the King of the Jews, so the Jewish leaders hated him.

Now click the mouse Now click the mouse Scene 3 Jesus And The 12 Disciples At the Passover Feast that evening, Jesus gathered his disciples together. “This will be the last supper I share with you before 1 suffer”, he said. He took the bread and gave them all some, saying “This is my body given for you, do this in memory of me”. Then he gave them all some wine, and said “This is my blood, which is poured out for you. Drink it in memory of me.” They didn't know what Jesus meant, so before they left the table Jesus said in explanation, “One of you is going to betray me tonight!” Now draw a picture of the scene.

As he woke them up, Judas, one of the disciples came into the room with a crowd of Roman soldiers, carrying swords and clubs. Jesus said, “Judas, are you going to betray me?” Judas let the soldiers take Jesus away. Why do you think Judas betrayed Jesus?

Now click the mouse Now click the mouse Scene 5 Jesus And Pilate The soldiers took Jesus to Pilate, who was the Roman governor. Pilate could find nothing Jesus had done wrong, so he sent him to King Herod. Herod couldn't find anything to charge Jesus with either, so he sent him back to Pilate. Pilate wanted to punish Jesus and let him go, but the crowd and the Jewish leaders said, “Crucify him!” Pilate knew Jesus was innocent, but everybody wanted him killed - what could he do? He sentenced Jesus to be crucified. What does “Crucify” mean? (Use your dictionary to help)

Because Jesus claimed to be the Son of God and the King of the Jews, the crowd mocked him by making him wear a crown made of thorns, and a purple cloak. “Long live the King!” they cried. Jesus was crucified on a hill near Jerusalem. The soldiers nailed his hands and feet to a wooden cross, and left him to die. They took his body to a beautiful garden and placed it in a tomb cut into the rocky hillside. They prayed and rolled a huge stone in front of the entrance to the tomb before they left. What is a tomb? Discuss this amongst yourselves. (Use your dictionaries if required)

When she looked inside, she was shocked to see that the tomb was empty. Had someone stolen the body? But then she heard a voice saying. “Go and tell my friends I am alive and will see them soon in Galilee”. It was Jesus! Write down a list of words to describe how Mary might have felt.
Now click the mouse Now click the mouse Scene 10 Jesus Has Risen The disciples could not believe what they had been told about Jesus, even when they remembered that according to their holy writings, the chosen king would die and rise again. But then Jesus appeared in the room with them. "I am no ghost!" he said. "Touch me. You can't touch a ghost!“ The disciples believed him at last. Jesus told them that they must wait until God sent them the Holy Spirit in his place, and go out into the world and make disciples of all the people. Describe the scene amongst yourselves
