What is genetic influence? • Genetic influences is how genetics affect an individuals level of aggression.
Underlying theories • How genetics have an effect on the aggression levels of an individual
Research Methods Twin studies
Major experiments and studies • Cologer-Clifford, Simon & Jubilan, 1992 • The most aggressive mice bred with each other and the least aggressive mice bred with each other. • This process was repeated after 26 generations and results showed that the most aggressive mice would attack any mice & the least aggressive mice were placid and did not attack any other mice or did not defend themselves whilst being attacked.
Criticisms • It was on mice and that the selective breeding experiment can not be conducted with human beings. • The twin studies research method provides mixed results. • Social-cultural background and the experiences in ones life.
