  2. Mrs. Patrick, principal Mrs. Patrick’s office is decorated with a lot of ships and pirate themed decorations. A principal’s work is never done so Stanley offers to assist Mrs. Patrick.

  3. Mr. Horka (6th grade)Assistant Principal Mr. Horka is always willing to help out the students at MIS. Maybe one day I’ll be a principal and really be able to sit in Mr. Horka’s chair!

  4. MRS. HINKEL (5th Grade)Assistant Principal I hope Mrs. Hinkel won’t notice that I’m on the hunt for candy! She usually lets me have a piece from her candy drawer. Stanley likes visiting Mrs. Hinkel because of the great candy selection at her desk, but you have to remember to ALWAYS ASK FIRST! It’s okay if she says no.

  5. Proud to be a Merrillville pirate! Mrs. Kistinger has some cool pirate stuff! All I need is an eye patch and a hat. On some Fridays during the school year you can donate $1 to wear a hat on spirit day. The money helps fund PBIS for pirate buck rewards earned by students.

  6. Throughout the day, the Office GREETs FAMILIES, STAFF, AND VISITORS It is important to greet ALL visitors with a friendly smile! “There’s no goofing around when it comes to doing a great job!” Ms. Barb told Stanley.

  7. In the office and copy rooms , We use the copy machines to make sure that the students take home important information about our school, community, and events!
