SNEHALAYA • SNEHALAYA is a Thane based registered voluntary, Non Profit Organization. • SNEHALAYA is involved in • training and day care, • rehabilitation and • shelter of persons with disabilities which means physical, intellectual, developmental or sensory impairments.
SNEHALAYA • The Trust is secular in nature. • We have completed 5 years and our accounts of the first 4 years are audited. • We have 80G facility and hence can take donations in the name of “SNEHALAYA CHARITABLE TRUST”
SNEHALAYA – Vision • To improve the quality of life of, and to provide a world of opportunities to the Challenged children & adults through creative and constructive activity • We also strive to provide them with life skills which will enhance their self esteem.
SNEHALAYA - Mission • Give individuals with Special Needs a sense of belonging with compassion and care. • Provide paraprofessional intervention. • Impart Vocational Training and open avenues for job opportunities to those with potential. • Strive to integrate them into society and enable them to lead a meaningful and dignified life.

SNEHALAYA Inputs to parents on Government schemes Awareness programmes Snehalaya conducts periodic awareness programmes for parents on medication and effective parenting. • SNEHALAYA provides valuable inputs on the various government initiatives pertaining to specially challenged children.
SNEHALAYA Paraprofessional intervention • Paraprofessional interventions by National Institute of Mental Health through Assessments and Occupational Therapy.
SNEHALAYA Short term needs Long term needs We need a permanent place to conduct all our activities under one roof and where our special persons can move freely and exercise in a natural atmosphere and live a healthy and a happy life. • Financial support for our admin costs to carry on our day to day activities - Rs. 25,000/- per month to pay our salaried staff who are dedicated and committed and to pay the monthly rent for the premises.
SNEHALAYA – Future plans Respite centre Residential home A loving and caring permanent residential home for our special persons when their parents pre-decease them, or when they are incapable of caring for themselves. • Respite centre somewhere close to Thane city where parents of special persons can be compassionately cared for, during an interim period.
