What is the Dragons’ Apprentice Challenge? • Annual challenge organised by Connect St Albans – now in year 4 • At the launch, teams of year 12 students are matched with a Dragon + a charity or community group • Over 4 months they must create and deliver a plan to earn £1,000+ for their charity • At the final awards ceremony short-listed teams present to win prizes including work experience, training and individual awards “Turn £100 into £1000 or more”

Challenge Update • 50+ teams across 6 districts in Herts participating in 2013 Challenge • All districts signed up to be involved by 2014 • Local Authority buy-in across the County • On target to raise more than £50k in 2013 challenge for small local charities • Young people, employers and charities all set to gain from experience
