How to Reconcile your Amex Transactions To reconcile your Amex account you need to have your Amex statements (use the paper statements or the on-line statement if available). • Check if all transactions from your Amex statements are available in EEM; please note that payments made by HP and/or you will not be loaded into EEM, even though they are shown on your statement.

  3. How to Reconcile your Amex Transactions • Check if you have submitted all business transactions in EEM – please note that HP will pay Amex only for submitted and approved business related expenses. If transactions were not submitted or not approved they will may become overdue. • Review your submitted transactions in EEM system and depending on their status please take one of the following actions: “Sent” – Did you send your expense report with corresponding receipts to the processing center? • If not, please send them ASAP.

How to Reconcile your Amex Transactions • If yes, please check the history of the report in EEM to validate if the ER Operations team has received your receipts: • If the receipts have been received and the approval was done, and the last action on your ER was taken more than 2 days ago, please report it to the CRC providing the following details: - ER number - employee number - description of the problem

  5. How to Reconcile your Amex Transactions “Rejected”- read the rejection reason and steps to be taken (fromthe ER history) and follow them. Example: “Paid”- it usually takes up to 5 business days for American Express to allocate received payment to the appropriate credit card account. This payment will be visible on your Amex statement; if not please refer to the Payment not received instruction.

  6. How to Reconcile your Amex Transactions • If you have marked Amex expenses as personal (also in caseof Split Expense, when a fraction of the transaction is marked as personal), make sure that you paid the total amount of those items directly to Amex; if not, make a payment to Amex as soon as possible. You will find the method of payment and the Amex bank details attached to your Amex statement.
