Concept Document • Introduces the reporting requirements of the WFD and summarises existing reporting requirements. • Discuss the purposes of reporting and the uses to which information supplied can be put. • Identify opportunities for the sharing of data and information • Outline the principles of a shared and accessible data and information management system • Discuss the potential for coherence with other reporting mechanisms.
Reporting WG Objectives • Prepare guidelines for exchange of data / information • in line with the concepts • for approval by article 21 committee
Development of a new, comprehensive, shared European data and information management system for water, including river basins. The system should be based on the concepts laid down and should be fully implemented by 2010
