Karunatree is an online story-based game that allows children to learn about current hazards in ecosystems, make decisions in the game that shape the plotline, and take real-life actions to teach others. The game incorporates the Google Earth API, providing a customized and interactive experience. Seedlings created by players are uploaded and displayed on Google Earth, spreading the environmental message. Future work includes gameplay mechanics efficiency, code refactoring, and the potential for a mobile application.
