  2. Symptoms • Some of the symptoms of this disorder include Anxiety, depression, headaches, morning stiffness, painful menstrual cramps, sleeping problems, numbness in your hands feet and legs causing them to be very tender.

  3. prevalence • This disorder is found most of the time in women rather then men. • With woman this disorder is caused by a biochemical change that deal with hormone changes If a man were to have fibromyalgia it would be genetic and not caused by the same symptoms

  4. Treatments • Some of the treatment options for this disorder include pain medication, sleeping pills anti anxiety, muscle and nerve relaxers • Physical therapy and daily exercises will also help to reduce the pain.

  5. Interesting facts 1. Fibromyalgia is considered a syndrome rather than a disease or disorder. 2. Studies show that this syndrome affects 5 million Americans 18 or older 3. Women who have a family members with this syndrome are more likely to have fibromyalgia themselves.
