  2. Gypsy Moth-from france-brought to the united states in 1869-when the population is high, thousands of acres can be damaged -eat young tender leaves in the spring-can be controlled by squishing the caterpillars and adult moths. Eggs should be scrapped off the tree into detergent

  3. Hydrilla “water theme”-from asia-first discovered in new York, in 2008 in orange county-can grow an inch a day-disrupts water flow in reservoirs-remove plant fragments and mud from boats then dispose and clean your equipment before going into other waterbodies Aquatic animals

  4. Sirexwoodwasp-from Eurasian-found in new York, in 2004-injects toxic mucus or fungus while laying eggs in the bark of susceptible pine trees-if you see a sirexwoodwasp capture it and keep in your freezer while contacting a forest health team Terrestrial animals

Spotted lanternfly-from asia-feeds off of a variety of plants(grapevines, maple, walnut, fruit trees, and tree of heaven).-one dead insect was found in new York, in 2014-use their mouth to suck the sap of more than 70 plant species-if you spot a lanternfly take pictures and contact someone Terrestrial plants

  6. Didymo (rock snot)-In new York-on the bottom of both flowing and still water-chokes many of the organisms that live on the bottom -spread due to kayakers ,canoeists, tubers and etc.-you can freeze your equiptment until all moisture is solid Aquatic plants

Northern snakehead fish-predatory fish native to asia-introduced to new York through aquarium dumpings-eat a variety of insects and fish-can potentially reduce or even eliminate native fish population-if you catch a northern snakehead do not release and report to your regional fisheries office Aquatic animals

Slender false brome-an invasive grass-difficult to identify because many other grasses look like it-can prevent tree seedling establishment-can harm populations of mammals, insects, lizards and snakes-to prevent you should mow in june to prevent the plants from producing seeds Terrestrial plants

  9. Zebra mussels-originally from eastern Europe -spread by hitching on to moving boats-harm native fish population and ruin beaches

  10. Purple star thistle-originally from Mediterranean region-introduced to new York in the late 1800s-crowds out desirable forage species on rangelands

  11. Asian carp-originally came from eastern Russia and china-brought to new York as food and sport fishing-have a big appetite and reproduce quickly
