BT’s Roadmap • Original plan to convert UK by 2009 • Core network is undergoing conversion now. • Cardiff being converted now, finish Q1 next year. • Rural DLE’s will be last • ADSL2+ wont cut it. • BT need a wireless solution • BT spending £10bn • More a threat to consumer providers than business • Though business products will be affected, more competition and BT less able to dominate. • Models not thought through yet.
