  3. ACTIVITY 1: CONSENT VIDEO

  4. Sexual Consent is a freely given agreement to engage in sexual activity.* Consent is a free and clearly given YES, not the absence of a NO. * What Is Consent?

Unconsciousness, fear, or intimidation Sexual assault with an object Substantial impairment because of a psychological health condition Substantial impairment because of voluntary intoxication Substantial impairment because of the deceptive administering of any drug, intoxicant, or controlled substance Consent is a free and clearly given yes, not the absence of a no Barriers to Consent

  8. In the following activity: State if consent was given or withheld. Reflect on what type of communication has taken place within the scenario i.e verbal of non-verbal communication. Share some ideas to prevent the sexual assault in some of the scenarios. Activity Instructions

  9. Dick and Jane met at a house party. They hit it off and hang out all night together. Dick is feeling especially sexy. Dick keeps offering Jane spiked punch and Jane accepts. By midnight Jane is pretty wasted and Dick makes his moves. Jane doesn’t protest and she is very quiet. Dick and Jane

  10. Tom and Marilyn have been dating for two months. Marilyn doesn't feel like having sex one night. Tom says, "Come on, I really want to make love to you." She feebly protests. Tom doesn't listen and proceeds to make love to Marilyn. Tom and Marilyn

  11. Claudia and Julio have had a tumultuous relationship. At first, Claudia didn't want to have sex with Julio because she felt like too many people would find out. He kept trying to convince her. He implied that if she did not sleep with him, he would break up with her. Claudia finally gave in and had sex with him. Claudia and Julio

  12. Alex and Connie have been dating for two months. They met at new student orientation and hit it off. They have so much in common. On Halloween, they decided to hang out together after all of their floormates leave to party in the Castro. While watching TV, Alex makes a move and kisses Connie. Connie is surprised but soon relaxes and kisses back and …. Alex and Connie
