  3. Overview Powdery mildew is a common disease that can affect different types of plants. You can encounter different species of mildew fungi, such as Erysiphe spp., Sphaerotheca, and more. They can affect crops such as carrots, eggplant, artichoke, cucumber, beets, beans, and more. If it remains untreated, it can spread over the entire leaf and eventually over the entire plant. However, there is no need to panic as mildew control is possible, and you can use a good quality powdery mildew fungicide spray.
