  7. Who? People in Covenant churches all over the U.S. and Canada do this regularly. You can join this movement—one of the greenest, most earth-friendly initiatives in the Covenant!

  8. Now let’s get started!

  9. Step 1: Rip FBefore tearing the sheets, take off any hemmed edges. FRip into strips that are approximately 3-4” wide. FRemoveall loose threads.

  10. Step 2: Sew FSew strips together by overlapping 1”. FSewusing zig-zag stitch. Make it strong and sturdy. FFinished length should be 3-5 yards (10-15 ft.)—two, three or four strips sewn together is fine.

  11. Step 3: Roll FRoll the bandages as tight and straight as you can using a pencil or rolling machine. FFinished roll should be 2 ½–3” in diameter.

  12. Step 4: Secure FSecure the roll with a safety pin, rubber band, hand stitching or a strip of cloth tied tightly.

  13. Step 5: Ship FFinished bandages should be packed in boxes andshipped to Brethren Service Center Annex in New Windsor, MD. Don’t forget to weigh the box and include a list of contents!
