Rap history in Lithuania. Rap history in Lithuania started in 1996, when a band called „G&G sindikatas“ was created. The first Lithuanian rap song („Do you feel“ 1998 ) and a rap music album („Your soul thief“ 1999 ) was created by „G&G sindikatas“.

Rap history in Lithuania started in 1996, when a band called „G&G sindikatas“ was created. • The first Lithuanian rap song („Do you feel“ 1998) and a rap music album („Your soul thief“1999) was created by „G&G sindikatas“. • They’ve only started gaining popularity in 2001 when their second album („Street league“) was released. G&G sindikatas • Rap music isn’t a very popular music genre in Lithuania. • The band is really popular even to this day. • The band creator and main member is Gabrielius Liaudanskas better known as Svaras. • Other member are: Kastytis Sarnickas (Kastetas), Donatas Juršėnas (Donciavas) and Artūras Mackevičius (DJ Mamania).

Even though rap music is not a very popular genre in Lithuania, it makes a big impact on our society. • What unites Lithunian rap songs is that every one of them have a strong message about biggest problems in our society. • The main memberand creator of „G&G sindikatas“ – Svaras can even often be seen giving lectures in schools on how to reach your goals, stop bullying , drug damage, subcultures in Lithuania and so on
