  2. FFATA • Federally-Funded Accountability & Transparency Act • Similar to ARRA subcontract reporting • Responsibility of the Prime Awardee to report to FFATA

When does FFATA Apply • Type 1 (new) and Type 2 (renewal) awards made after 10/1/2010. • If we are prime awardee - Implementation for reporting rests with Procurement at time of subaward. • Contact John Speros until the process is automated. • If we are the subaward, and you are asked for information, contact OSPIP. • Some information does not apply to LBNL and we are not required to provide it. • Sometimes FFATA does not apply to the award and we are being asked for information incorrectly

  4. When does FFATA NOT Apply • Type 5 (non-competing continuation) awards – not required. • But the Notice of Award contains language that FFATA might apply. • Between LBNL and other UC campuses (whether we are prime or sub) • UCOP has determined that for the purpose of FFATA, a subcontract to another UC campus is not a subcontract to another organization and therefore does not trigger the reporting requirement
